Twinning with the Republic of North Macedonia

In 2019 the National Academy contracted as a lead partner a twinning with North-Macedonia on strengthening their budget planning, execution and internal control functions. The twinning is contracted in a consortium with component leaders from  Bulgaria, Croatia and Latvia.

The overall objective of this project is to further improve efficiency and effectiveness of public spending through implementation of the Public Finance Management (PFM) Reform Programme.

Due to COVID-19 the start of the twinning encountered some delay. Fortunately, the project team was able to switch to an online start-up.
